about “DREAMS 2”

While I am planning these DREAMS installations I am integrating various artworks and visual elements as I attempt to connect to various states of consciousness ... unconsciousness ... subconscious.

When I am creating the art, I attempt to connect to various states of consciousness, I might begin with metallic paint and/or paint the artwork like a large watercolor on canvas. I find images in the flowing colors much like images in clouds. As I develop the painting with layers of acrylic paint, texture and detail, mindful beings emerge and stories unfold.

Like dreams they are different for every person and change depending on circumstances and point of view.

And, on another note: in a climate of political divide, these mindful beings remind me that whether a family member, a friend, a neighbor, someone across the country or around the world, or a citizen of the universe, we are all more alike than not.
